Women’s Sacred Circle is an accredited Wayapa Wuurrk practitioner.
Wayapa ® is an earth connection practice that is based on ancient Indigenous wisdom that focuses on taking care of the Earth as the starting point for creating Earth Mind Body Spirit well-being.
For over 100,000 years, living in harmony with their environment is what sustained Australian Aboriginal people to be one of the world’s oldest, continuous living cultures.
Today, most of us have become disconnected from our environment, our tribe, our food, and our Spirit. Through a combination of Earth mindfulness, narrative meditation, a series of physical movements, and taking action to look after the planet, Wayapa ® provides a sense of belonging to the Earth while creating holistic well-being. Wayapa ® is about creating a different lifestyle. It is for both those just starting and those more experienced in earth Spirit connection. It can be done as a 25 minute physical practice, sitting or standing, or as a narrative meditation to slow us right down to sit in stillness, in your home or in nature’s wonder.
Becoming a Wayapa Wuurrk practitioner has raised my awareness of what our Country can offer all of us to reconnect the disconnect to the elements that are all around us and look after these elements using the Wayapa Wuurrk practices. The Wayapa Wuurrk practice has taught me that when I’m on my Country, I really look and listen to it. I feel safe and at peace. I have a longing to learn more, spend time sitting and hearing what the voices of the Spirits of my ancestors and mother earth is telling me, what I need to See, what I need to Hear, what I need to Feel, and what I need to Do. I feel the Spirits everywhere. My country is green and healthy, my country is blue, when you are looking in the distance and seeing the blue mountains, the trees are green, the river are flowing, my Country is alive and the Spirits of my elders and ancestors are all close. The beautiful sky by day is bright, and the stars are twinkling across the night skies like millions of souls watching and protecting us. It’s good to visit my Country, where my mob have wandered and come from. I feel connected to my family that was. Through this connection to mother earth, rivers and the skies through Wayapa Wuurrk my Spirit is stronger. Get in touch for sessions and information:
